Newfrontiers in Bolivia
Newfrontiers currently has one church in Bolivia, in the city of Santa Cruz (population approx. 1.5 million).
Fuente de Vida (Fountain of Life) church plant has grown out of a work with street kids in the city. It's great to see and hear some of the amazing testimonies of people who have come to know Jesus - sometimes after years of involvement in drugs, alcoholism, stealing, prostitution, etc. We are now seeing more people starting to gather from different backgrounds as well.
Fuente de Vida is led by David Adjei, who together with his wife Sarah, worked for years with Operation Restoration, which is a ministry of Youth With A Mission working with street teenagers. It was through this work that they felt led by God to plant a church made up of people from all backgrounds with a heart to reach out to people in need.
Some of the church members are involved with the team which regularly goes out onto the streets of the city to meet with the street kids and with the homes run by Operation Restoration: El Camino ('The Way') for boys and El Alfarero ('The Potter') for girls.
