Newfrontiers in Brazil
In April 2010 John Evans (who lead The Ark Church in Guadalajara, Mexico) and his wife Flor relocated to Rio de Janeiro to help strengthen and oversee church-planting into the city.
A group, now called Rio Vivo Igreja Crista, in the Flamengo district of Rio has begun regular public Sunday meetings. Another group still meets in Barra de Tijuca and the hope is that it too will become a fully-fledged church plant in the near future.
Our first priority is to plant some strong local churches in Rio itself so that we can then spread out to other parts of Brazil.
