Newfrontiers Mission Training Track
The programme is flexible, recognising the different situations people are in:
- People may be unsure exactly where God wants them to go
- It may be several years before someone is sent to another nation
- Some may feel called short term, others long term
- Both leaders and support people need training
- Some may be single, others may feel called as a family
The training will cover important subjects related to cross-cultural mission and you will have the opportunity to network with others who have a similar call and passion for pioneer work in other nations and to hear from people who are working in some of those nations.
Mission Awareness Days These days include teaching on how to discern your call and more information on some of the areas in which Newfrontiers is working. They include training which will introduce the issues of cross cultural evangelism and the key problems you will face in other cultures. There will be opportunity for group personal dialogue with Newfrontiers leaders to look closer at your calling to cross cultural mission. These days offer a great chance to start to look into whether God is calling you overseas but also offer help to those who feel more definite in their calling. We are holding the next Mission Awareness Day on 15 September 2012.
Developing Your Call Day If you have attended the Mission Awareness Day but feel it is still too early to ‘go’ yet, then this day is for you, to stay connected with what is going on and explore more opportunities on how your call may develop.
Residential Training Weekends These weekends of preparation for mission are especially aimed at those who are considering long term cross cultural mission work within the next two years. There will be two concurrent training tracks running over the course of the weekend depending on where you are up to and what training you have received before: Track 1 will include sessions on cultural issues and building your support base as well as hearing from those who have lived abroad and set the foundations for church planting in another culture. Track 2 includes teaching on worldview issues and making disciples in another culture.
We are holding the next Residential Training Weekend from at the Kings Park Conference Centre, Northampton on 2-4 March 2012. The cost of the weekend will be £117 per person which includes full board accommodation in shared rooms. Please note that there are no child care provisions for the weekend.
Islamic World Days
These are a series of days for those with specific interest in ministry into Islamic nations. At each day we will look at key specific issues of ministry into that environment, and give more detailed background to Newfrontiers activities in those countries including hearing testimonies from those involved. The days are open to both those who have been along to our other Islamic World Days and also to new people.
We are holding the next Islamic World Day on 24 November 2012.
Church Planting in China Day
If you have a heart for the Nation and feel God stirring you it would be great to see you there. We will give updates on Newfrontiers' work in China as well as opportunities to hear about how you can get involved in what we are doing in China.
