Pressing into Severn Years of Plenty

In an inversion of Joseph’s interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream, last year the Lord spoke to the team in India prophetically that they had completed seven years and that they were to prepare for seven years of bumper harvest. For them it meant a growth in existing churches of the Newfrontiers India family and also a growth in the family itself. In 2010 they targeted ten additions to the family and they are confident that they will have at least seven. Indrajeet Pawar reports on a few of these plants.

Delhi

We’re reaching the capital of the nation through a church planted earlier this year when Samir & Jackie, their family and others from various local Newfrontiers churches moved into the city. They have begun meeting together and reaching the city. No doubt we will hear of many exploits from them in the coming days.

Kalyan

Thomas, Reshma, their daughters and a small team have been sent to plant a church in Kalyan. This is an industrial and educational hub 50 kms outside Mumbai and we are expecting a growing grace filled church there. Today a small mustard seed, tomorrow a large growing tree.

Tamil Nadu

Seven years ago we had only one Tamil speaking church in the Newfrontiers India family. Kirubai Devalayam (Grace Church) has been outstanding in the way it has sought to expand our borders. When we gathered at a ‘Tamil Camp’ recently we had people from five cities and rural areas of Tamil Nadu. This year we expect to add a couple of churches and plants into the family and late this year or early next year plant another one in a town called Vaniyambadi

Ponda

Anthony & Nirmala with their teenage children moved to Ponda from Panjim. Ponda is the fifth largest and thus far only large city in Goa where we didn’t have a presence. Along with a group of saints from another Newfrontiers church in Goa they will seek to reach the largely Hindu dominated city.

Prayer Needs

This is the beginning of a new phase, a new season of plenty. Do pray that we will remain faithful to the prophetic call. Also for leaders, teams and all those involved in leading and serving in this new phase that God will grace us with supernatural energy and wisdom to extend His kingdom where He leads.
