Viva las Americas

Lee Yarbrough and his team believe that the Lord has given them a big vision to see grace filled churches planted throughout the Americas, from Mexico into Central and South America.   Read on to catch some of their zeal and excitement.

FiestaMexico

Currently there are twenty Newfrontiers churches working together in Mexico. These churches can be found from the remote, arid areas of San Luis Potosi and Hidalgo where the Pame and Otomi indigenous people groups live, to some of the biggest cities in the world with populations in the millions, like Mexico City with a population of well over 23 million.

Our annual church family conference, Fiesta, is upon us once again! In the past we have gathered approximately 1,000 people to celebrate all that God is doing among us. Dave and Liz Holden will be with us this year. The theme of this year’s Fiesta will be The Presence of God Amongst Us. We’re expecting to have a great time once again!

Rio TeamSouth America

Oscar Suarez from Guadalajara, Jack Lankford of Arkansas, U.S.A., and I were recently in Brazil and Bolivia.  We were in Rio de Janeiro with John and Flor Evans, and the team that is planting into that fascinating city. We gathered several times over a few days and there was a real prophetic flow in the meetings. The church is off to a good start and we’re very much in faith for what God will be doing there in the future.

Bolivia Church 2From Rio we traveled to Santa Cruz, Bolivia where David and Sarah Adjei have been working for several years. They truly have a gift of mercy, and have seen many people who come from very difficult situations added to, and built in to the church. It was wonderful to see how God has brought life, freedom and dignity to many there, and added them into His family. What a thrill!

BookCoverPublishing

We believe that one of the key aspects to what we are doing in the Americas has to do with getting good books and training materials translated and published into Spanish, as well as Portuguese. As I write this I am thrilled to announce that Terry Virgo’s book, God’s Lavish Grace, has been translated and is now being published in Spanish! ‘La Gracia Abundante de Dios’ is now a reality!

Prayer

Matthew 9:37-38 “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

As we move forward with faith into all that God has placed before us, we would appreciate your prayers.
  • For continued growth and maturity in all of the churches in Mexico, and the raising up of new leaders.
  • The church plant in Rio. For John and Flor and the team there, as well as new venue to meet in.
  • The church in Bolivia, for more people to be added to the core team there.
  • For laborers to be added in all the areas where we are working.
Muchas gracias. Dios les bendiga!
