Churches' Response to the Trumpet Call!

It is reported that church leaders in Zimbabwe have zealously and passionately received the message of Trumpet Call! Churches Together for Transformation.

This is a nationwide initiative which has been embraced by the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwean Council of Churches and the Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops Conference in partnership with Foundations for Farming. The Trumpet Call that has rung out has been for a restored passion for God, for each other and for the nation with an initial, combined focus on agriculture in order to feed the nation and to form a platform for further transformational initiatives into all sectors of society.

On Sunday 26 September gatherings were organised across Zimbabwe where Christians of any persuasion were encouraged to come together, hear the call and go out to respond passionately for the glory of God and the building up of the nation. Although the numbers that turned up at the gatherings were not as high as hoped for, there was a great sense of unity amongst all those represented.

Molly Manhanga who is from the southern regions of Zimbabwe reports further on what she sees taking place in Zimbabwe.

Men and women of God keep saying the same thing - that God has an enormous plan for our nation to be united, to stand strong in times of adversity and to reach out to those that have little or nothing. We as the church have a mandate to feed the poor and hungry and to rebuild our land together with pride and dignity.

What about feeding ourselves as a nation? God is on the move! Most farmers have planted on time, which in Zimbabwe means before or on November 25th. God has also answered our prayers by giving us amazing rain. He is stirring up a new vision and faith. We know that if we follow the Foundations for Farming principles of planting by November 25th right across the nation, we will be able to feed ourselves.

A united Church, a truly spiritually militant church, rising up in rank, enforcing 1 John 3:8 with a Christ-like violence in the spirit realm that will make the realms of darkness absolutely shudder in terror as nation after nation becomes Christ’s according to Psalm 2:8.

This is the church we pray for and work for in Zimbabwe and regions beyond.

Prayer for Zimbabwe in Hawaii

There was a real sense of hope and that God is moving when many people prayed for Zimbabwe at the Transformation Conference hosted by Ed Silvoso in Hawaii in November 2010. Prayer was organised to ‘clear the skies’. This was confirmed by a gentleman who had been in the South African airforce and then in Israel. He arrived in Bulawayo and said he felt God had called him to Zimbabwe to be with us to ‘clear the skies’ in preparation for what God was about to do.

Exciting times in Zimbabwe. God is the way to transformation!
