The Unreached

Some of you may have encountered the Joshua Project before.

'Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the least followers of Christ. Accurate, regularly updated ethnic people group information is critical for understanding and completing the Great Commission.

I have spent time on their website and have found it very informative as well as motivation to pray for the unreached.
I saw this video...I think it speaks for itself.

Check out the Joshua Project here.

Interview with Stef Liston

I had the privilege  to meet up with Stef recently. We got to chat about his heart for the Nations and how he has seen God move and work, as well as hearing what he had to say about events like Newday and Newday Global. Stef is a quality leader, pastor and teacher but also someone who clearly has a passion for people to get caught up with God's great rescue plan...check it out.

Apologies for 1. My foot being in a massive tea cup
                     2. The light changing..very cloudy day!

Interview with Simon & Becci Brown

I had the pleasure of spending time with Simon & Becci at our residential training weekend. They are a quality pair and talking to them about their plans was time well spent.

Here is some information from the Operation World Site. Let's be praying for Cambodia.

Answer to Prayer

An open door for ministry remains, although some limitations are in place. The great suffering of Cambodians in the past has been transformed into great responsiveness to the gospel as many and diverse ministries see sustained fruit.

Challenge for Prayer

The scars of the terrible genocide of 1975-79 remain evident. Nearly two million were killed, over 60,000 lost life or limb to landmines and most of the population over age 30 need deep healing from the trauma of their losses and suffering. Pray for:

a) Justice to be seen to be done regarding those who perpetrated the crimes. International tribunals face difficulty in bringing the Cambodian government/judiciary on board with the justice process, and the culture of corruption and impunity still holds sway. The beginning of Khmer Rouge trials should assist in this process.

b) Healing for the deep psychological wounds. Many cope with the trauma through detachment and suppression of trauma, some by inflicting pain on others. Pray that counselling and the Holy Spirit might bring true restoration.

c) A government that seeks the good of all, and is worthy of the trust of the people. Violence, manipulation, graft and selfishness hitherto have been the rule. The situation is so ingrained and endemic on every level that it must be torn out by the roots.

Interview with John & Mollie Oldfield

We have just had our residential training weekend in Northampton. What a great weekend it was! The weekend is for those called on long term mission. the weekend includes teaching, training, questions and answers along with fantastic food! We had a fantastic times of prayer and worship (despite me starting with a song a nobody knew! How embarrassing!)

For the first time we ran two concurrent training tracks running over the course of the weekend. Track 1 is for those who are on their way to going but not just yet. Track 1 had Mike Frisby giving an introduction to culture along with John Oldfield taking about re-entry. We had the pleasure of being joined by Tim & Cathy Leese who shared with us their experience of cross-cultural living. Track 2 is for those who are certain of their plans and are planning to go in the next year or so. Andy Martin spoke about worldview issues and how cross-cultural workers are viewed.

Here is a video from a few minutes that I got to snatch with John & Mollie Oldfield, talking about their experiences in the Middle East.

The food was great and so was the company. As we prayed and worshiped together we really felt the tangible presence of God. We had a time of ministry where God spoke powerfully into the lives of those on the course.

We view these times as incredibly important in the preparation for cross-cultural work. If you would like to get involved with Newfrontiers and what we are doing around the world then please get plugged in through our training track.

If you were there then, please, tell us your highlights!
