Eglise Cite d'Adoration
Cotonou, Benin
Prince Avornyo reports on how the members of Eglise Cite d'Adoration are hard at work to share the good news of Jesus in Benin.
 In our desire to see many more saved and added to the Church we set aside the second quarter of the year for intensive evangelism. Preaching, teaching and small group studies done on Sunday mornings were used to train the Church for effective evangelism. The idea was to equip every member of the Church to be able to share the gospel with another person.
 On Easter Sunday the whole Church took to the streets and as well as going from house to house in the community. We went out in teams proclaiming one message - that Jesus is risen from the dead and that there is forgiveness for all who will put their faith in His finished work.
What an exciting morning it was as the various teams came back with amazing reports. We led several people to the Lord that morning including a boy in his teens who was saved and joined us immediately for our morning celebration. We also prayed for the sick. This is a report from one of the teams:
As we entered one compound house we moved from door to door sharing the good news of Jesus with the people and praying for various things including protection and good health as they requested. As we were leaving, a young man ran after us asking that we come back to pray for a woman who was seriously ill and was behind closed doors. We went with him and when the door was opened we saw a middle-aged woman lying on a mat. This woman could hardly raise her head. Well, we shared a few words with her and prayed for her. After our prayer, to the amazement of all of us including those in the house, the woman was healed. She got up, went to the kitchen, and started to make a fire in her clay cooker, something she said she couldn’t do in weeks because of her illness.
We praise God for his wonderful works. Jesus is still in the healing business!
We ask that you continue to pray with us to see many come to faith and added to the Church. The light of our Lord Jesus Christ must shine in this nation of Benin where many are still enslaved in voodoo worship. We also welcome all who have Benin on their hearts to partner with us for the advancement of the work.
