Lome, Togo

Cite de l’a Gloire led by Sewa Segbe is seeking to bring true New Testament church life into the nation of Togo.  Together with his wife Tanty they have been leading a church in Lome for several years now. 

In addition to their regular outreaches to the community they have had a weekly radio programme during which time Sewa has been faithfully proclaiming God’s word to thousands of people.  The programme has only just suffered a setback due to a huge jump in air time charges.

Sewa has also successfully translated John Kpikpi’s book ‘God’s New Tribe’ into French which will be published very soon.

After a wonderful time at the West African Conference, Rebuilding the Nations 2011 in Accra, Ghana the church returned to Lome to find that they had lost their meeting place.  They had returned from the conference with John Morris from Faversham Community Church who was returning a visit that Sewa Segbe made to their church after the Brighton Conference last year.  They had planned a series of meetings which all had to be re-organized quickly at a different venue.

They have given themselves to prayer and fasting and have heard the Lord speak several encouraging things to them. However the situation on the ground hasn’t changed and they are yet to find a suitable meeting place.  Please pray for the provision of a venue soon.
